Remembering Dr. Audrey Holland
The Aphasia Center of California joins the aphasia community in mourning the loss of Dr. Audrey Holland. Audrey was an extraordinary clinician and a trailblazer in aphasia treatment and research. Almost singlehandedly, she was responsible for making connections across the entire aphasia community–from people living with aphasia to healthcare professionals to clinical researchers. Audrey’s impact has been profound both worldwide and locally.
Audrey was a close friend of the ACC — we were so fortunate to have her participate at our 5 year anniversary in 2001 and again in a virtual interview during our 25th anniversary celebration in 2021. She will be dearly missed, but her enormous influence will live on.
