Our clinical research studies have demonstrated that individuals who participate in aphasia communication groups show significant improvement in their communication skills and quality of life.
Cost
Ten (10) group sessions start at $220. We offer a sliding fee scale for those with reduced incomes.

Our communication groups provide an innovative, long-term and affordable way for those with aphasia to continue receiving services, especially beyond the initial period following stroke.
Every other Tuesday
11:00am – 12:15pm
This group is intended for family members or others providing care to people living with aphasia. We provide a safe, non-judgmental space for discussion and problem solving.
Offered twice yearly — contact us for start dates
10-12 sessions — times vary
Our book club provides members with aphasia-friendly books, summaries, worksheets, and discussion questions. Like any book club, participants share thoughts and ideas — but with added support to practice and strengthen language skills.

This monthly class includes breathwork, light stretching, and engaging movement to help you feel calm, focused, and strong.
Exercises are done seated and standing, with modifications for those with limited mobility or use of one arm.

A welcoming space to explore and enjoy music together. Members share favorite songs, albums, and genres, join in [optional] sing-alongs, and discuss the role of music in their lives.
No musical experience required — just a love for music!
Every other Tuesday
1:00pm – 2:15pm
This group is for those who had a stroke before the age of 55. Members practice communication strategies and active listening skills while discussing life after stroke.
All aphasia types and severities are welcome!

These groups are for those who have been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) and are organized based on members’ PPA types and symptoms.

Every other Monday
4:30pm – 5:45pm
This group is intended for family members or others providing care to people living with primary progressive aphasia (PPA).
We provide a safe, non-judgmental space for discussion and problem solving.

Discuss news, current events, and culture in a supportive environment.
Members take turns presenting stories on a variety of topics to practice communication strategies and active listening skills.
