The Aphasia Center of California addresses unmet needs and gaps in services, yet we do not receive any federal, state or insurance funding for ongoing aphasia services.
We rely on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and sponsors to offer the critical support that survivors of stroke and brain injury with aphasia need and deserve, and to continue our work into perpetuity

Monetary gifts may be fully deducted for federal income tax purposes (up to 50% of your adjusted gross income).

We welcome volunteers in the areas of administration, communications, marketing, fundraising, special classes, and governance. We are always looking for volunteers who can share their talents and help an individual with aphasia to pursue a hobby, a volunteer position, or a second career. From time to time, we also have volunteer positions available in our communication treatment group program. We value the long-standing commitment and dedication that our volunteers bring to our organization. We ask that volunteers make a 6-month commitment.
The ACC provides sponsorship opportunities for its Walk to Talk event in June of each year. This event takes place during National Aphasia Awareness month which provides additional media exposure.
